i have signed up for a new online magazine, Seamwork. They have a project called Wardrobe Architect where you develop or discover your style and silhouette and make a capsule collection of clothes. I am also reading Tim Gunn's books and Nina Garcia's books on the same subject. I do wish that I had purchased the books on Kindle instead of hardcover, although I could sell them and rebut online some day to get rid of more clutter, but that is much later.
I have some exercises to work on to figure out my style. Working where I do, i don't have a style and we don't go anywhere where I dress up. Vegas is about the only time I wear nice clothes. I do like comfortable, simple but modern lines, tunic type tops, nothing sleeveless, nothing low cut, flirty, girly, short waisted, empire waisted, or tight. I like classic slacks, pleated, natural waist, straight leg jeans, straight skirts or slightly flared, capris, shorts, but not real short, longer jackets, no leggings, but slim straight knits. I like Eileen Fisher type clothing, mix and match basics. This is what I would like to develop. Now that I have lost weight and working out, I would like to sew up the fabrics that I have which are pretty classic. I would love to be able to go to Mood in NYC and get wool or cotton jerseys for some nice clothing. The yarns I have are also classic, gray, magenta, blues, black, taupe. The pinkish is probably the wildest one along with the oriental fabrics. I think that the whites and tans are fine as are the fat quarters that I want to make into one piece of fabric for a top.
I need to make a list of what pieces I have, what I need and separate work from casual clothing. Work is t shirts, jeans, older clothes that I will get dirty. I need some shoes to go with. I should have bought the ones from Lucky's last year. I will continue to explore and develop as I won't be really getting into changing until the latter part of the year when I have reached my goal and gotten other projects completed. Mainly selling and the furniture.
Hi! This is just bits about the Jankowski's. For those who do not see us often or who are out of town, you can keep up with what is going on with us.

Excellent Day!
I had one vacation day left and used it today. I had thought that maybe hubs and I would do something, but he had already made hunting plans. Then I thought of calling someone and going out for the day, but you know what? I just wanted to spend the day alone. Nice and quiet, no TV. I didn't exactly sit though. I Spring cleaned pretty much. I had already scrubbed the two bathrooms the other night and Gel Gloss is great! Everything is so bright and shiny in the bathrooms. Today I dusted, vacuumed, wiped off the marks on the walls, washed, and cleaned the carpeting. Yeah for small houses, it was done by 4. Now we still have two rooms that need cleaning, but one is hubs and he is going to work on that this week and the other has everything that needs to be sold. We will start that this week, also.
I also worked out and now to watch PR and knit.

Meeting My Goals
I have set goals monthly to try to get everything done that I want to do. I have lists of sewing, knitting, crafts, and other projects that I want to do to use up my stashes and fix whatever is broken. I then take one or two of those that I want to complete and make a monthly list. Of course, some projects will span several months and I will continue to list those on consecutive months. So far, I am on track with my goals. I only go out one or two months. I also include my weight loss goals and any household things I need to do. I hope that this helps to keep me going and lessen the amount of "stuff" that I have. My desire is to have most of the home projects, my weight loss, and selling finished by the end of 2015. I am not concerned about the knitting or sewing as much. Selling is the number one goal for this year. If that bedroom, refrigerator, and household items are gone it would free up a room and my mind. I really don't like having all of this clutter sitting around. I seem to be a minimalist as I get older. Eventually having a small house of some type would be perfect. I will gather and collect what it is that I would like to have in a small house, maybe around 800 square feet. I would like a good size open kitchen living room with an island as a kitchen table, fireplace, laundry mud room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a four season room for my crafting, deck, and garage. I think that I can design something like that and then figure what furniture and built ins I want. To live in a small space, I need less "stuff"!

A(nother) New Year
I didn't really make any resolutions this year, but goals. Now of course, these are the same things that I try to do every year with marginal or no success. With having now a smart phone and tablet with myriad apps on Heath, wealth, and organization, I should be able to achieve more goals this year than in the past.
MyFitnessPal is great! I started using it in June and have lost about 35 pounds so far. Using the Nutribullet for breakfast and lunch smoothies and a sensible diet has done the trick. Over the holidays, I got off track and put on two pounds, but all in all not bad. I am using Reminders to make lists of all the projects that I would like to do including using up my stashes of fabric and yarn. I also have one list for monthly goals. I think that by breaking up my projects into small, realistic pieces will help get my goals met.
