Oh my goodness, I haven't been on here for almost a year. We have moved from Macon back to South Carolina, only in Columbia. I hope this is it for awhile. I suppose that I will have to change my description yet again. I am in the same department at work, plumbing. I swore that I didn't want to work in that area when we moved down to Georgia, but it was the only opening available, but now I wouldn't want to go back to flooring where everything requires an awful lot of heavy lifting. I am acclimating to the rules in this store. Each one is a bit different.
I am currently watching NRK TV out of Norway. Hours and hours of knitting. Those ladies knit so quickly. I should really get into it more and I guess with practice, I will also develop speed. I really would like to finish getting rid of all of the boxes of sellable stuff first. We did clear out about ten boxes of trash. All of my things are sellable. I think that I have the sewing machine sold. I hope so.
I will just stick with the Necchi which is a fine machine. I will tune it up, oil and clean it real well. Then I will get to work sewing up all the fabric and patterns that I have packed in tubs. I imagine that in the long run, I will stick with knitting more so than sewing. Knitting is so much more portable and I really don't need too many more clothes. In fact, I don't want to sew any more clothes until I have lost some of this weight that I put on during the stress of packing and moving.
I have begun the 17 day diet again. I just need to keep remind myself to make a healthy change. It seems that the way that the diet is laid out, is similar to the now popular 2 day diet. That is one where you eat sensibly 5 days a week and almost don't eat for 2. The 17 day has you eating no carbs every other day once you get off of the accelerate portion of the program. Since we moved and have virtually no food in the house, I am able to start over. I will stick with chicken and fish for dinner, tuna and turkey salads for lunch and eggs for breakfast. Yogurt for a snack at night or even some veggies. I didn't weigh myself this morning because I know that I weigh more than I ever have. I will check it out after my clothes are looser. I will also begin more exercising. Right now I do walk Cricket almost every day for about 15 minutes. I will have to get out my cd's and begin using those also. It can become a habit, but all of this will take a large amount of time.
So, in that vein, I had a two-egg omelet with salsa and a peach cup for breakfast. A turkey salad with balsamic vinaigrette and lots of veggies and herbal tea. I think that I will have tilapia and asparagus for dinner, John can have a chicken cordon bleu and yogurt for snack. It is raining so no walking tonight. I would really like to get on plan and stay with it once and for all and prove that it can be done. Perhaps I should document this journey on my Thetimidcricket blog which I haven't used very much at all.
I hope this move will be a new start. So far it hasn't been a change, but it has been a month and today is the beginning of a new month. So here is to a new beginning.
